Starzyk Designs : Terms & Conditions
The following is a list of terms and conditions that apply once my services are hired. By making any intial payment for my services, you agree to the following:1. What You Get
After the initial discussion on the services needed, I will present you with a quote, outlining everything I will be providing. Anything that comes up at a later time and is not part of the original quote may require an additional charge per my discretion.
2. SEO
With a website through me, I do basic keyword research and add the basic SEO to each page of your website. I do not guarantee any sort of placement or rank on the search engines. If you'd like, I can inform you of additional SEO techniques you can do yourself to help your website rank better.
3. Post-Launch Changes
After a website is approved, final payment is made, and the files are handed over, I am no longer responsible for making changes to that website. If you need changes in the future, you may contact me to make them. These changes would be made at an hourly rate of $35/hour. I reserve the right to deny making future changes for whatever reason.
4. Writing Content
I am not a great writer and I prefer to keep my focus on design, so I will not be responsible for any content on the website. I can build a website using filler content if you do not have any at the time of the build. If you do not have time to write the content, I can try to find a freelance writer to help on the project. If this is not discussed ahead of time, it will require an additional charge.
5. Time Frame
The average website can be designed and built within 4 weeks. This is dependent on the client's punctual response to emails and/or phone calls. Failure to return emails and/or phone calls will result in a longer process. If, for some reason, a deadline I've set, or the client has set, is missed because of failed communication, I am not responsible. Also, not every project will take 4 weeks. A realistic time frame will be given to the client with the initial quote. For projects that need to be completed faster than 4 weeks, a expediting fee may apply.
6. Miscellaneous
As a freelance designer, I reserve the right to end a project early if I feel the client is being unrealistic with their expectations, if I feel the client is not living up to their end of the deal, or for other more serious reasons. After a quote is submitted and agreed upon, half the payment is due up-front, the other half due when the website is approved as complete. The first half payment is non-refundable. If for some reason we do not agree on a design, the second half payment is not required. I do not provide hosting or domain services. I can suggest good hosting companies and help get the site set up for you, but it is the client's responsibility to maintain the hosting account, renew their domain, set up any email accounts, and keep the payments up-to-date.
